Call for Artists
Our journey has been anything but ordinary. Through every step, we've focused on staying true to our values and making space for local community and artists.
The Orange Film & Arts Festival is looking for local and regional artists to be part of an exciting new public art experience in Orange, Texas!
Selected artists will have the opportunity to transform a large 8' × 8' freestanding mural panel into an original work of art that will be displayed as part of the festival.
Our theme is:
“WHAT DOES ORANGE MEAN TO YOU?”
We want to see YOUR interpretation. Orange can mean the city, Southeast Texas, local history, culture, people, nature, memories, community—or something completely unexpected.
This is your canvas. Make it yours.
✨ IMPORTANT DETAILS:
• Artists of different styles and backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
• Selected artists will receive an 8' × 8' mural panel to paint.
• Artwork must be original and family friendly.
• Artists will maintain ownership and copyright of their original designs.
• Artists will have the option to take their completed artwork home after the festival.
• Artist stipends are being explored and will depend on available festival funding and sponsorships.
• Applicants will be asked to provide examples of their artwork as part of the selection process.
• Previous mural experience is helpful, but we want to hear from artists working in a variety of styles and mediums.
